Hey!! As some of you know, I am trying as much as I can to lose weight. I wonder if you can add some suggestions for me to lose weight propperly without suddenly gain weight again as soon as I start eating normally again? I mean, I know a few things already, but I was just interested in some new suggestions.
you would be better to work out a healthy eating plan with your doctor to ensure you keep the weight off but the trick is, to completely change your lifestyle and eating habits, the change must be for life otherwise you will regain weight.
Yeah, I know, but my problem is to say no when people offer me something. That's my biggest problem. I was already trying so many times to change my lifestyle and eating habit, but it never lasted long.
Whatever you do, don't just not eat a meal and think your doing good by not spending the caleries for that day. Insted, eat a lot. Just eat right. Eat until your full and only eat when your hungry. Now you see, there's a difference between haveing an appeitate and being hungry. Don't eat because its there and its good. Eat because your hungry. You will be surprised how much weight you can loose when you eat when your hungry and when you eat good foods. if its not on the food permid, don't eat it. Also, don't eat any fast food that stuff is shit. Also try to exercise at least three times a week. I know your busy but take some time out of that schedule to go to the local gym and work out. Run a mile on a treadmil. Or spend on hour on a bike. Good luck!
Thanks a lot, Heather. I am doing more exercises at the moment and I started eating only when I'm hungry. I have no sweets, no chocolates, nothing like that, in my room and if someone offers me chocolate I consequently say no, because when I once started eating chocolate I can't stop anymore. That#s why it's better not to. Also, no chips. Unfortunately I am not a real fan of fruits. I liked apples once until my mother gave me one to school every day, now I hate them, lol. But I eat things with less fat, drink milk with less fat and so on.
try to Imagine yourself putting on 30 pounds just as you are about to accept that piece of cake ect..if you still can't say no, then imagine munching your way through 100 pounds or 7 stone, of pure wobbling blubber,..that is bound to deter you...
Hmm, well, the basics is of course burn more caloreis than you consume (or as many if you want to maintain weight), the solution to that comes in two forms, eating healthier and working outmore (consume less calories and burn more).
Well, as for the eating, if you stop eating altogether and skip meals etc your body will think it's being starved, it will transfer all food you consume into fat as quickly as possible so goblin is right in that it needs a lifestyle change. Eat more often, eat more vegetables and try to go for lo carb (lo sugar) rather than lo fat foods. Your worst enemy wouldhave to be chocolate and french fries etc. Still the thing is you need a susteinable diet, something that is not just temporary and completely depriving yourself of sweets is not something you can keep doing. So I'd say one day a week you should allow yourself to have something you want, fries or chocolate or something but only one day a week and or you can decide on a weekly amount (e.g. a portion of french fries and a small chocolate bar but no mre), you need to follow those. To kill your desire for chocolate when you really feel it chewing gum helps a lot, drink lotsof water it prevents you from getting the munchies and keeps your body hydrated which helps it digest fat.
So, yeah, work out is key, if only for 10 or 15 minutes a day, do some sit ups or something nd then 2 to 3 times a week do a more substential work out, like biking or running or swimming or something like that.
You can do it, you need to change your mind set and also change the way you eat but in a way that feels good and you appreciate.
cheers and good luck

I think I'm on the best way to following all your suggestiions. It's a good idea imagining having 30 pounds more if I start to enjoy the greezy food.
<grin> oh, my friend is buffing up and he has decided he needs to lose 12 more pounds. Every morning he either fids 12 pounds worth of canned food or uses hand weights to lift 12 pounds, feel how much it is and imagine how much easier it would be like to walk around with that extra weight on.
It's encouraging, and kind of a neat idea.
Yeah, I agree, the idea is good.
Insele if you dont like fruit you could try taking vitamin C tablets, they will keep you topped up and may help to boost your energy levels...would you drink fruit pure juice instead or a smoothie with low fat natural yoghurt...
I already do that, but thanks. I'll head off to the gym in a minute taking a bottle of water with vitamin C tablets with me.
good luck and take it easy at 1st..smile
Thanks, it already works.
Some people said we could create a "losing weight community" lol. That would be cool!!
